Get ready for even bigger crashes and more intense destruction, THQ Nordic and Bugbear Entertainment have officially announced that Wreckfest 2 will be launching in Steam Early Access on March 20th. To build excitement, the team has released a brand-new in-engine trailer, giving fans a glimpse of the carnage to come.
Revamped Physics & More Destruction
Bugbear has rebuilt its physics simulation engine from the ground up to maximize modern hardware capabilities. This means more detailed crash physics, intricate component damage simulation, and an overall boost in realism. If you thought the original Wreckfest was chaotic, this sequel aims to raise the stakes with higher crash fidelity and even more destruction-packed moments.
Game Modes & Features at Launch
At launch, Wreckfest 2 will feature:
- Racing Mode – Battle it out on high-speed circuits, courses with obstacles and jumps, and tracks filled with intersections and oncoming traffic.
- Derby Mode – Pure demolition domination in an all-out destruction derby.
- Multiplayer – Take the chaos online with head-to-head battles and skill-based matchmaking.
During Early Access, Bugbear plans to introduce a revamped Career Mode that adapts to individual playstyles, as well as mod support via Steam Workshop. Server queues and additional online features are also on the way to enhance multiplayer gameplay.
System Requirements & More Details Coming Soon
While THQ Nordic and Bugbear have yet to reveal PC system requirements, more details should be available as we get closer to the Early Access launch. Are you ready for the next level of destruction? Wreckfest 2 promises to deliver an action-packed, metal-twisting racing experience like never before!
